Following is a list of classes taught by Amy Brown at Hutchison High School 2011-2012
Algebra 1.5
Algebra 1.5 was designed to strengthen Algebra skills and will cover topics in both Algebra I and Algebra II. This will include number properties, linear functions, systems of equations and quadratic functions.
Geometry
Geometry covers geometric concepts beginning with a study of points, lines, and planes and extends through topics such as trigonometric functions and three-dimensional figures. This class will emphasize good note taking skills and neatness of work (that should be reflected in your notebook and homework).
Algebra I
Algebra I thoroughly covers linear functions, linear
inequalities, concept of functions, real numbers, manipulating algebraic
symbols, and solving real world problems using algebraic expressions and
equations. The topics of probability, statistics, trigonometry, quadratic
equations, factoring, graphing quadratic functions, and the coordinate grid
system will be incorporated. Technology is incorporated as appropriate
during the course.

Algebra for Technical Careers
Algebra for Technical Careers emphasizes the advanced
and applied algebraic topics needed for success in industry based
occupations. This class can receive tech-prep credit through University of Alaska Fairbanks Career and Technical College.
